Where do I even begin to write about this wedding in a few sentences….. Firstly the beautiful couple that we photographed were Amy & Stuwart and all I can say is that they were amazing. It was a perfect wedding that took place at Harrowden Hall in Wellingborough. The day went by far to fast and the fun and laughter that both Stu & Amy brought to the day was over whelming. They never stopped smiling from the moment I arrived with Amy till the reception and later. All the bridal party, friends and family were brilliant to photograph. Enjoy New York guys and see you on your return…… Here are a few favourites of mine from the day.

Gavin & Sarah got married at a little church on the out skirts of Bangington and then had their reception at the beautiful Antsy Hall Hotel. While the bride and groom left in style they did not forget about their guests who followed behind in an old fashion coach. Needless the coach came in handy for photos later. Congratulations guys and Im sure you will have a lovely time in Mexico……
I have just got back home after a weekend away photographing a wedding at The Woodlands Hotel in Leeds, and what a weekend it has been. This is my last wedding for a little while, so It goes without saying that it went by far to fast and had an amazing day being able to share it with the bride and groom. All weddings are special but this one was just that extra bit special due to the fact that I know Steve and Chloe. After a busy day at shooting the special moments, Paul and myself were guests in the evening. But saying that I still had the camera around my neck for most of the night. Some times the drunken photographs can be fun.
I started the day at Chloe’s mum and dad’s house to get the bridal prep, hair, make-up and lots of excited nervous. I can admit that this is my favourite part, where the bride has the whole day to look forward to. When the cars arrived I followed very close behind (not being from around these parts I was scared to death at getting lost!)
Arrival at the Woodlands was rather quick and within minutes Chloe was walking down the aisle to meet her husband to be. It’s that first look when the groom first see’s his bride that I love. I was rather lucky with the registar’s today as I was allowed to take as many photos as I wanted. Bonus!
Here are only a few photos that I have looked at. As usual I have loads, however when they have all be edited and check Steve and Chloe will be the first ones to see them all. Sian and Steve got married at the beauitful settings of Staverton Park Hotel on the outskirts of Daventry. Staverton is well known for their golf courses and we managed to get the lads having some photos with their golf clubs. The weather was indeed on our side and had sun shine for the group photos. The service went by way to fast with a very early “I will” from the groom. It made everyone relax and put a massive smile of Sian’s face. I went to school with Sian and knowing the Bride from years back, it was a complete pleasure taking Sian and Steves wedding photos. Congratulations guys and enjoy Mexico.
I first met Emma and Ian over 18 months ago to discuss their wedding photos, and now here we are photographing their wedding at the lovely venue of Dunchurch Park Hotel in Rugby. The service was held at St Marks church and then moving over to Dunchurch. Though the weather did not look the best it managed to stay dry all day. When I met Emma and Ian at the venue for a pre-wedding shoot I had an idea for a photo of which Emma would be standing up high on a post, at the time this seemed easy but on the day with the wedding dress it was easier said than done. However saying that Emma wanted the shot and I think we got a great great image, and of course Emma’s face says it all. At this time I did think that most of Emma and Ians guests thought I had lost the plot! Over the next hour we got the group photos done and spent time with the bridal party and time alone with the bride and groom. I honestly don’t know where the time went for this wedding. It was a joy to photograph and a lovely couple to spend time with. Wishing you both the very best, many congratulations for the future ahead.
April 29th 2011 will be know to everyone as the day the Royal couple got married. But to a special couple Natalie and Stu, it will be known to them as their wedding day! One good thing about getting married on the same day as William and Kate, is that you will never be able to forget your anniversary. We travelled from Rugby to Newmarket, to a venue called The Jockey Club. Situated in the centre of Newmarket the Jockey Club comes with grand history. As soon as you enter through the gates you see the building and grounds which are beautiful. I spent the morning with Natalie, her daughter Erin and sister Michelle while getting ready for her wedding. I was lucky enough to be able to spend some time with Natalie to get some lovely photos of her on her own and also with Erin, before the service. Not every wedding I shoot has that much time, so I took full advantage of getting some posed and relaxed photos.
It was only a month ago when I last did a wedding at Dunchurch Park Hotel and oh what a difference a month can make. Today felt like the start of the wedding season for me with the warm weather and bright sunshine. Today I photographed the wedding of Nadia and Danial who I met over a year ago. With them living in Cheltenham, it made it a little hard to meet up before the big day but we managed fine with emails going back and forth. The mood of the day could not have been any better with the girls getting ready at Nadia’s mum and dad’s house and the boys at Dunchurch Park. The service was held in the great hall with a surprise guest of a piper to welcome guests in and to walk the bride down the aisle.
After the service there were drinks served over-looking the grounds of the hotel which is where the group photos took place. I must admit that this was a complete joy in doing. We had lots of time and everyone loved being outside in the sunshine. The day went by so quickly for us but not as quickly for Nadia and Danial. We stayed ’till the first dance and got some fantastic photos of the bride and groom and the bride’s father! Bob Marley – brilliant choice. Have an amazing time in Kenya and see you on your return.
It has been a while since I have uploaded photos to my blog and it’s because I have been so busy, it’s been hard to find the time. However, after getting back from today’s wedding with Lewis and Jade, I spent most of the evening going through the many photos that were taken. Jade and Lewis got married at St Botolph’s Church in Newbold-Upon-Avon and then moved to Ansty Hall Hotel at the edge of Coventry. The weather was on our side and though it was not sunny all day, it was perfect for photographing a wedding. I always like to try different backdrops and new ideas that I haven’t done before, and today we stopped en route at a nearby corn field to have a moment alone with the Bride and Groom. Jade looked stunning, and of course so did a very handsome husband, Lewis.
The driver for the day joked he was a paid actor as we got him in on some of our car shots. He made it possible for us to go to the corn field and was so helpful. Thanks very much for your time.
Though in the morning the boys had some photos taken, it was this shot that Lewis wanted taken in the back of the truck, and after waiting around for a little bit of time, we finally managed to get the image he was after.
I had such a lovely time photographing this wedding today. Jade and Lewis were so relaxed and looked like they were enjoying every minute of it. It was great fun to shoot a wedding with another local photographer who helped me out today. It’s good to bounce ideas around and also to get two different shots of the same pose. A big thank you goes out to Victoria Jane, and as usual her shots are amazing.
This weekend has been a wedding with a difference. A fantastic couple of days for the new couple of Suky and Jason. The pre-party took place on the Friday evening for the Bride and bride’s family.
The tradition of the Indian wedding is a lot to learn and I should be getting used to it by now for my 3rd Indian wedding. Suky and Jason had their temple wedding in the morning and then moved over to the beautiful Dunchurch Park Hotel and conference centre. I must admit that the more temple weddings I do, the more I love to photograph them. There are no restrictions in taking photos which is a welcome joy, however it does mean more editing in the post production of the day, but getting the special looks between the couple and their family make it all worthwhile.
In the afternoon the service took place in the great hall of Dunchurch Park Hotel. A large room with fantastic light. The downside to the day was the good old British weather. At the point of photos to be taken outside, we had to change our plan and take these inside; the rain would not let up!
Moving from the main house to the marquee for the dinner service was a great change of scenery and had a grand entrance from the bride and groom. The meal and speeches flew past rather quickly and next the party began. The evening kicked off with the first dance and the dance floor was never empty once. I don’t know where the time went in the evening but as we packed up to go it looked like the party would be going on for quite some time. Well done Suky and Jason and congratulations on your new life together.
Today was the wedding of Fallon and Jason to become Mr and Mrs Warren. They got married at the beautiful Highgate House in Northampton. Seeing Fallon count down the weeks and days to her wedding. I hope she had an amazing day. She looked completely beautiful in her dress and everything was arranged and looked perfect, from the Bridesmaids to the layout of the Breakfast meal – which was designed and laid out in a theme of a winter wonderland. I must admit that I have never seen a room look that beautiful and cosy for a winter. The weather was rather chilly but a great day for a photographer. No worries about bright sunlight. Saying that, at this time of the year a cloudy grey day puts a smile on my face. Congratulations to the both of you.
